mission overview

BASE CAMP ON MOUNT EVEREST IS ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE SETTLEMENTS IN THE WORLD: A TEMPORARY CITY THAT SPRINGS UP EVERY YEAR IN SOME OF THE PLANET'S HARSHEST CONDITIONS, AND A TESTAMENT TO HUMAN INNOVATION AND TENACITY.

Technology has had a dramatic impact on exploration in the 21st century. Modern day explorers now head out into the field armed with a slew of devices designed to keep them in contact with the outside world at all times.

On this mission, you’ll get a taste of life at Base Camp by getting ready for your own Everest expedition:

In the space of a week, you’ll have to set up camp, build a two-way radio communication system from scratch, program your own LED torch, learn to code a drone for expedition recces, and get to grips with robotics to construct your own transport rover. Your objective will be to be as self-sufficient as you can.

THIS MISSION IS CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT. THE DAILY ITINERARY WILL BE AVAILABLE IN EARLY 2018.
