The Giant Trail…

Mission Gaia is a unique Nature Arts Adventure for aspiring artists, sculptors, painters, crafters and creators. Setting up your own Outdoor Workshop, you'll have only 4 days to plan and create the most exciting Art Trail in the grounds of Eltham College. You’ll be encouraged to go as big, bold and crazy as you want to be!

Working with landscape artist Kaitlin Ferguson, you'll get to try lots of experimental techniques such as moss graffiti, pigment making, rock balancing, slogan art, urban stencilling, clay block printing, natural installations and collages.

You'll be given all the materials, tools and support you need to design your Trail and create your unique piece of art. You'll get the choice to work on your own or in a team and your Art can be as fun and exciting as you want it to be!

The mission will culminate with your Art Show and Graduation, where you will get to take your parents on a walk along your Trail...

A fun and high-energy exploration of nature art and visual creativity with lots of opportunities to be imaginative and innovate.

Both Lead and Support Facilitators on this type of mission are Practising Artists with experience of delivering arts-led projects with children in the outdoors. Parents always receive a full list of facilitators a week of so before the start of camp. We operate an overall ratio of 1:8 in our camps. All facilitators are DBS and reference checked; all undergo The Hive in-house safeguarding training. Sites include several fully qualified First Aiders.
